Female Fitness Adventures
Just a little history...
Jen, Niya and Melissa, three friends connected by their passion for fitness, food and travel, founded FitTrip Adventures LLC. After years of trying to find their "studio home" in Denver together, they often discussed opening a studio of their own. As they were already busy running their own small businesses, they feared it could turn into a challenge in such a competitive Denver fitness market. In 2017, however, they put their passions together for fitness and adventure, and FitTrip Adventures was born. In 2022, Melissa chose to follow another passion; skincare and health coaching for women (check out her digs here ). Although the company leadership has changed, the mission remains the same: to provide fun, meaningful, all inclusive, female fitness vacations.

"I was doing my freestyle beach workout in Troncones, Mexico in 2016. I had just gone through a devastating pregnancy loss. There was not a soul insight, my mind and body were processing the experience and I was trying to come out of the darkness. I sprinted upon a young group of local kids playing soccer, without much thought, I ran up and joined them. We laughed and tried to communicate with my very broken Spanish. My heart felt lighter as I lunged and skipped back to our Airbnb. My mind finally shifted into lightness and it just came to me, female fitness vacation, I want to start a(nother) business! Why not bring all the things I love together and create bonding and supportive, healthy experiences for women. I knew just the ladies to do it with! Two weeks later Jen, Melissa and I were bouncing around all the exciting ideas and founded FitTrip Adventures.
I grew up dancing, swimming and messing around with some sports, never got too serious with any of it. As an adult I turned my focus toward outdoor adventures, back backing, canoeing the Boundary Waters, biking, yoga and functional fitness. In 2009, I was drawn to the balanced discipline, and followed the pathway to become a WillPower & Grace instructor. In 2012, at the same time I was opening Local 46 Bar & Biergarten, I become a certified Willpower Instructor, it was a great way to keep me balanced and helped me have an outlet from of all the craziness opening a new business brings. My teaching style promotes the critical equality between strong, sweaty hard work and fun, whimsical enjoyment of life, love and spirit. I am also a Certified Yoga Sculpt instructor.
After some struggles, my husband Grant and I welcomed Harlow Grace into the world in 2018, it has been my biggest joy to be a mama. We are enjoying our wonderful community in Denver for part of the year and enjoying winters in Baja, Mexico."

After teaching outside of the fitness industry for over fifteen years, Jen chose to follow her passion for The willPower Method® and worked to become a Teacher Trainer to share that passion. She is an ACE certified Personal Trainer, and an EBFA certified Barefoot Specialist. A busy mom of 3, Jen is also the co-founder of a non-profit organization promoting fiscal wellness through financial education, and is a broker/owner with Green Door Living Real Estate. She is an active runner and sports athlete; mindful of the importance of balanced wellness for a lifetime, and loves infusing The willPower Method® through everyday fitness. Secretly, she'd love to become an event planner, but that might be adding too much to her plate!
"Jen and Niya are the perfect balance of dreamer and doer, they both dream big and then get it done! Their skills and expertise compliment each other well and they both believe deeply in doing business in a thoughtful way, in giving back and walking through this life with grace, gratitude and joy. "
